History

2009: The Cosmocinesy

Founded by French guitarist & composer Tony Beaufils, Qantice is more than your average virtuoso symphonic metal band. Its sci-fi saga encompasses both a fantasy story and film score influenced music.

The Cosmocinesy was released on French label Brennus Music, This debut album was praised by the metal community, and its reach even went beyond this genre, with the release of its counterpart novel: La Cosmocinésie.

2012: La Cosmocinésie ou les Remuements des Mondes

Co-written by author Marie Fontaine and Qantice leader Tony Beaufils, this science fiction/fantasy novel was published by Argemmios in 2012. Detailing the first episode of the Qantice saga, the book also contains a full encyclopedia of places, creatures, characters, objets, concepts, and even measure units of the Qantice universe.

Only in French at the moment.

2014: The Phantonauts

For their next release, the French metallers recruited Norwegian vocal sensation Pellek (over 1 million subscribers on YouTube) to go into hyperdrive and aim for the stars! Produced by Kevin Codfert (Adagio, Myrath), and mastered by Jens Bogren (Symphony X, Dragonforce), The Phantonauts features guest appearances from Zaher Zorgati (Myrath) and Yossi Sassi (Orphaned Land). With this album of other-worldly epicness, Qantice has drawn the attention of two new labels: Radtone Music (Japan), and Nightmare Records (USA), and gathered thousands of new fans!
